Women in Nepal Build New Income Sources

Women in Nepal are generating new sources of income for their families and communities through small businesses they have created with the skills gained from Heifer International. One cooperative makes candles, which are sold in a local store, and reinvests the profits in the self-help group. These social and business hubs enable women to take loans to reinvest in their businesses, invest in their communities and build a cycle of hope and transformation.

      Would you mind sharing what the name of this village is? Also, do you find that the possibilities of women earning income (I know bigger cities women are quite active in the workforce but am not sure how it is in the rural areas) has gotten better over the years in Nepal?
