Some people are very happy with the insurance plans they've scored through Obamacare. My personal silver plan seems to be pretty comprehensive and affordable, though I haven't yet tested how the insurance translates to actual care.

A lot of people had a great deal of trouble enrolling even after multiple attempts through the site and over the phone. Some gave up. A huge issue is that many states are rejecting the medicaid expansion. So there are vulnerable people who can't access medicaid or tax credits in the marketplace, and are basically left in the dust by Obamacare. This New York Times article goes into it:

It's really important to continue advocating for single-payer universal health care, since it would address the root issue and no American would be uninsured, uncared for, or vulnerable to debt. Thankfully, Obamacare allows states to experiment with implementing single-payer through the innovation waivers : ) Vermont is doing some excellent work.

Great to know. It is interesting how some people are getting better plans through the single-payer system vs. their unions. My boyfriend is an actor and he says is SAG Union insurance was more expensive than what he got with Obamacare.

Has Obamacare helped the situation at all for artists or is it even more expensive than something like Cobra?
