The Future of Brain Surgery

Andy Featherston

This video tells the moving story of Behnam Badie, Chief of Neurosurgery at City of Hope. His father encouraged him to go into medicine, then passed away from a brain tumor shortly after Badie started practicing neurosurgery.

The experience has inspired Dr. Badie to completely transform brain surgery by inventing novel treatments, and new surgical devices.

The video also shows a fascinating and technically difficult "awake" brain surgery, (without gore), performed by Dr. Badie.
