Taking bicycles more seriously in the U.S.

In this video, a Dutch resident offers perspective on cycling in the United States--specifically, its downfalls.

The video points out a lot of the obstacles standing in the way of America being a host to safe, bike-friendly environments.

The problem lies in the infrastructure. How can a place be ideal for biking when a bike lane is little more than paint? Cyclists here are forced to bike around a world that is ultimately car-based- but there ways to change this for future bike lovers.

    I love seeing all the different solutions cities across the world have for improving bike culture, from bike counters to better bike racks, to bike lights for street lights and shared bike systems. It's funny how serious his voice is!
