No More Woof: What if you could translate your dog's thoughts & feelings?

Agus Echague

Sweden’s No More Woof is an EEG device that reads dogs’ brainwaves in order to determine what’s on their mind.
NMW has been designed to comfortably fit onto the head of an average-sized dog and uses non-invasive EEG techniques to take a reading of their brainwaves. This is so silly. I wonder why we would need something like this? I feel like if you're at all in tune with dogs, you'd be able to get what they're saying.

Yes but. I'm the optimist that thinks this is the first step towards language equality. Imagine if in the end you could COMMUNICATE with your dog besides the usual "sit" and "good dog". If he could tell you he wants his back scratched. I agree, you can be in tune and know EXACTLY what they want... but another form of communication is not necessarily bad! ;)
