I really enjoyed her response to the question about what she would do if confronted by her gunman & giving him a choice by saying "now do what you want". inspiring teen icon! I hope (and really pray!) she continues her humble and honest pursuits towards education and freedom and not get caught up in political play. peace.

So timely today, International Day of the Girl Child: UN urges ‘innovating for girls’ education’

This was incredibly moving. Malala is mature beyond her age, and a very strong woman to say the least. Can't wait to give this book a read!

I love the part where she answers the question about what she would do if confronted by her gunman again. Her reply: “I’ll tell him how important education is, and that I even want education for your children as well. And I would tell him, ‘That’s what I want to tell you, now do what you want.’”

yup. "now do what you want" is the most powerful thing.

Wow. I'd like every girl to see this. And Stewart telling her "you sure are swell"—such an understatement but very sweet in the moment.
