Homeless Man Enters Subway, Asks for Something Hilarious Instead of Change

Yasha Wallin

If you've been on a subway in NYC, chances are you've encountered someone asking for a little help from commuters. Many have specific asks: a little change to get something to eat, some help for their children, and so on. This man, seen in the video here, has a different kind of request however. Given the numerous camera angles and the fact that nobody even noticed the cameramen, who didn't hide the fact that they were filming, and that they focused on actor "riders," who were shown in blatantly forced poses, and that nobody screamed when the man in the long overcoat started shouting (if you've ever been in an NY subway, you know that means a robbery is about to take place), this was obviously staged and not funny at all. I've seen and heard similar over the years, not unlike a reverse of the Monty Python "Rich Men" sketch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe1a1wHxTyo). I give it 3 yawns and a "What else is on?"
