Visiting Detroit for a project, I was so wowed by the creative drive of the makers in the city. The city has a makers spirit emerging from what Detroit was, remaking it so that it works for them and those around them. Coming from Portland Oregon, somewhat a makers paradise, it felt even fresher.

This is incredible. We have something like this for bikes in LA, but I'd like it to be more well-rounded- with more activities!

We have a few for bikes in Toronto, we also have the Tool (and Kitchen Tool) libraries on either side of town and the Repair Cafe but I like that this combines all the best of those things into one.

This is the stuff that makes me excited for the future and for what our cities can be.
