Birds Can Tap Dance Too

Alessandra Rizzotti

As this video goes viral, you have to wonder why this bird is tap dancing...in a bag. Was it trained this way or is it simply regulating its temperature? Seagulls are known to tap dance on wet grass to feed off surfacing worms, but does the same science apply to a black-masked love bird if there are no worms present? Since this bird breed loves to tear up paper, maybe it's just acting out for being unable to? I know I'd be neurotic if I was stuck in a solitary, weird situation.
