Amazing stuff. When I volunteer for the Midnight Mission in Downtown Los Angeles, they make it a point while we serve LA's homeless that we call them by name. They after all are our brothers and sisters.

So look at them in the eye when you pass them by and give them a respectful no when you don't have change for them. Mourn for them as if you knew them because underneath it all we are all but the same.

Thank you for sharing Anita. I think eye contact is so powerful. I'm glad at St. Francis that LA's homeless are making connections and reflecting in this powerful way. Does the Midnight Mission have events like this? I'd like to start volunteering at stuff like this.
