Think there are 2 confusing concepts here:
1) Your only choices are not limited to LISTEN or IGNORE: successful entrepreneurs observe customers and filter through what they WANT to understand what they NEED. It is not the customers' job to give you the answer, but you need to understand their problem.
2) There is a heroic image portrayed in the media about a visionary who has a prophetic idea. The hero goes all in and against all odds to succeed beyond their wildest dreams.
Nobody is Steve Jobs and I question if the human being Steve Jobs is anything like the folktale Steve Jobs. If you do research, there are numerous Apple failures:
That is neither good nor bad but necessary learning stones toward success. Also, Apple started out making computers for the Home Brew club, their first customers and also their friends.
