Great idea but does it guarantee detection 100%? probably not although what does apart from a flail tank as designed for the Normandy landings in WW2 . I see the suggestion of the GPS tag to track the path but for the people on the ground that is of limited benefit as they will not generally have access to a device that can show the safe tracks. You could just follow up the clearing device with a radio control car with a spray can or something else to mark the track. This could then be followed up with a second sweep using some sort of roller to ensure that a usable pathway is safe as the foot print of the wind power device is fairly narrow.
