When I reached 40 years of age I looked at my handwriting and realized that it was atrocious. Upon further reflection I discovered I had stopped writing notes of any kind because I was embarrassed about my writing. It was then that I picked up one of my wife's calligraphy pens and asked her to teach me to write again.
Now, seven years on, writing is an important part of my life again. Writing a handwritten note is a peaceful and enriching thing to do and I love it. I'm glad for my wife's patience and persistence. Now I feel like I can participate in a project like this.
