"Yeah right. Scientists, most of whom earn well less than 6 figures - and who do NOT get a raise for getting a grant (supplies & personnel) - are in it for the money?"
Seriously? Did you even bother to read my comment or did you just assume that because I'm not a worshipper at the alter of man-caused climate fear that I am automagically pro-big oil? You're darn right the oil industry will cheat, steal and rob the people at every turn it gets but it does this with the help of the politicians big oil controls in the Government and only the most hard headed would try and deny as of today that collusion/corruption is not going on within our government.
As for the "scientists" and "Experts" that the rest of us are suppose to blindly listen/follow without question need I remind you that so called experts a few hundred years back claimed under the authority of the church that man was the center of the universe. Science is an ever changing, ever newly discovering art and anyone who tries to say the science is settled on something like the climate is either lazy, has something to gain or doesn't care about finding the truth.
You can say its not personal but its very personal because these climate fear mongers are using the fear of climate catastrophe to get me to give up my children's future to some kind of scientific elite that will rule like a modern day royalty under the guise of being the "experts". I don't deny there are some smart and well meaning people out there who want what's best for everyone and the planet but they seem to pale in comparison to those who want to use the force of the government to shut down the so called deniers.
If you are a real scientists then you should support dissenting opinions and not try to use force to quiet those you don't agree with.
If you had actually read about what's going on with this climate fear campaign you'd have seen that a former lead on the IPCC has come out and said its a political scam designed to put in place more governmental control and restrictions. Wake up and stop burying your head in the sand about what's going on.
