What if we could vote in person, by mailing the ballot in, or by voting online or over the phone? Why does there have to be just 1 voting day? What if we could vote for 2 or more days, including at least 1 weekend day and 1 weekday, to account for people who work during the week and people that have their sabbath on Saturday or Sunday? Granted, I'm sure these would be logistically tricky but it seems to be worth consideration. Also, as a non-Republican in Utah, I feel like another way to increase voter turnout would be to amend the electoral college so it's not winner-take-all in each state, or possibly abolish it completely, as it's difficult to feel like my vote really makes a difference. Of course I vote anyway, but I suspect non-Democrats in Massachusetts would agree.
