Young Egyptian Raps for Women's Rights

Myam Mahmoud, an 18-year-old political science major, is using music to advocate for women's rights. The young Egyptian rapper broadcasted her message on the semi-finals of Arabs Got Talent, a reality show that is watched by millions of people in the Middle East. Myam's music tackles sexual harassment and societal restrictions placed on young Egyptian women. "How can you judge me by my hair or by my veil?" she raps.
