Why "Ban Bossy" Matters More to Women of Color

Love it or hate it, chances are you’ve heard of Sheryl Sandberg’s “Ban Bossy” campaign. With the help of Beyonce, Condoleezza Rice, etc, Sandberg is attempting to stamp out the “B” word. The campaign has received an overwhelmingly negative response so far. And the backlash has come primarily from white feminists. Absent from this conversation is diverse voices …. This is a shame, because I find “Ban Bossy” has a big opportunity to effect real change among immigrant communities.
