Cheryl Heller rightly asks, " Why does everyone focus on shifting the behavior of poor farmers or slave traders or people with HIV Aids or obesity, and not our own? So, for example the Federal Bureau of Land Management is rounding up wild horses, supposedly to "protect" them, and then selss one lot of 1, 700 horses to be slaughtered for meat in Mexico. Wolves are de-listed from EPA protection and hundreds are trapped and shot, including biologist-monitored popularly photographed Yellowstone pack leaders. There is an active international traffic in bushmeat. Poachers are killing endangered tigers, elephants, giraffes...everything is NOT fine.
