Where is it safe to be a woman?

The European Union Fundamental Rights Agency presents the numbers for their latest survey regarding violence against women. Nordic countries seem to be the worst in stats, regardless of their gender equality orientated political agenda. The findings suggest violence against women across all EU states is widespread, affecting women from all walks of life and socio-economic brackets, the survey’s authors said. Poland, Austria and Croatia lead as countries with best scores, varying from 19 to 21%.
