Tiffany, Thank you for sharing your lessons and experiences. I've only just started to define and block my time, and it has been a tremendous productivity booster. Kudos for setting boundaries and avoiding the all-too-common dance with burnout.

I admire you so much for knowing your priorities and boundaries. I'm one of those people that wants to be involved in everything because things just sound exciting to me. I've heard there's an actual term for this: FOMO (fear of missing out). But you are right in the stance that you should think of your creative time like an athlete -- to put more out, you need to take more in (more sleep, more rejuvenation). We're not just machines to work, work, work. We do our best when we are rested, nourished, loved, etc. From past professional burnouts, I've learned that life doesn't just have to be about work - the purpose of life is to just live and enjoy everything. Thank you for the wonderful article!!
