What happens when circus elephants retire?


These Asian elephants might not be able to fly like Dumbo, but they do want a better life. The elephant rescue Thailand is working to move as many members of this endangered species from circus life to wildlife. Living in natural social herds in the forest has huge impact on elephant’s health and dramatically increases life expectancy. They’ve thought of the owners too—they have included a training program to help both elephant and master live a longer, better, circus-free life. Learn more above
