Alessandra Rizzotti

-New York
-Boston
-Washington D.C.
-San Francisco

Chicago is on its way towards smarter transit, but ranks low in terms of bike-friendly cities. Interesting, because my family has a bike design company in Chicago. I wonder if they should move to another city- or maybe they'll help fill the niche need for more bike lanes in Chicago?

In no way is BART superior to the CTA in Chicago. The fact that Chicago is not on this map? hmmm, the loop is the most efficient in all these cities!

"And somehow, Los Angeles, land of cars, slides in at the No. 9 spot." I'm always amused at the assumptions people have that LA isn't transit friendly. I've reduced my driving in the last year to only 1-2 days per week (sometimes no driving). Not surprisingly, my stress levels are down, I don't lose hours sitting in traffic and I can email/read/multitask from the train. Now if only the Metro's had wifi for the Red/Purple lines... I'd be golden as far as productivity.
