I think it's her spiritual level and the miraculous feeling you get when we complete something major. Eventually, the goal seems possible no matter what it is you're trying to achieve.

Diana is such a bad ass. She is inspiring on so many levels. I have had the honor of making a documentary about her and what motivates her is deeply human. It is fascinating to see how the world obsesses with success and shows up to support us when we "finish" something instead of celebrating every step of the way. I hope she inspires us to follow our dreams but also to look at what motivates us from within.

dig that perspective on the motivation of journey independent of destination. where do you think Diana is coming from on this front?

Is it a given that we are more motivated after our initial attempts are unsuccessful? Some won't even try again yet she attempted this numerous times. I read that her mantra for this journey was "find a way." That's perfect.

I'm so proud of her. This was on my radar for a while and I'm so glad it finally happened!
