Uncovering the social media habits of teens in Kenya

Although internet penetration is only around 30% in Kenya, access continues to grow at a rapid rate, and young people are at the forefront of this increased uptake. To better understand how young people in Kenya are using social and digital media, earlier this year UNICEF commissioned a study as part of its Voices of Youth Citizens initiative. The recently launched study provides fascinating insight into usage, motivations and behavior of Kenyan youth connecting to the online world.
