UCSC Students Massively Cut their Waste Footprint

At University of California - Santa Cruz, students are eager to advance the sustainable movement. This ranges from climate action to waste diversion. The UCSC waste team, comprised of students and staff members, accomplishes significant reductions. They cut their cardboard waste by 42,500 pounds, Styrofoam chunks by 600 pounds, mixed recycles like bottles by 21,380 pounds, and plastic film by 300 pounds.
