Two Patients See HIV Vanish After Bone Marrow Transplants

Two HIV-positive patients who both underwent bone marrow transplants as a part of their cancer treatment at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston have had their HIV seemingly vanish, according to new research. The two patients both stopped taking their AIDS medication and still haven't seen the disease re-emerge, according to the doctors who treated them.

There are two other such cases: a patient in Berlin who underwent a stem cell transplant, and an infant in Mississippi.
