    I think one of the best things about places like Bogota is the mixing of people with different incomes. Kind of a rarity here in LA

    There's been a few South American mayors that have a really awesome perspective on cities being for people, not cars. Peñalosa in Bogota, Lerner in Curitiba. Those guys are amazing. Jamie Lerner's TED Talk is one of my favorites: http://blog.ted.com/2008/02/04/with_maverick_f/
