Trafficking Survivor Helps Others Escape Forced Labor

At age 28, Flor Molina lost the youngest of her four children due to financial constraints. She left Mexico for the United States to earn more, but was subjected to forced labor in a sewing factory. “I thought slavery was only in the books,” Molina says. “I was surprised to find myself living in it.” After 40 days, she escaped with the help of the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking and now works with the nonprofit to help other survivors get health care and visa protection.
