Traditional or Online: Which College Education Bubble Is Ripe For Popping?

There's plenty of talk about how traditional college education is a bubble students are figuring out they can get a comparable education for far less cash through massively open online courses. But over at Forbes, John Tamny argues that in America, going to a traditional college isn't about learning. College is a status symbol for students and status and signaling device for employers, meaning that MOOCs, which have "no real economic value" are the real bubble.
