"Hell is Other People" uses your friends' check-in data from Foursquare to calculate "optimally distanced safe zones" where you're bound to avoid them entirely.

Of course, it doesn't really work unless everybody you know obsessively uses Foursquare: developer Scott Garner says his app is meant to be more of a satire on social media rather than a practical use of it. Because technology can never replace (avoiding) the person-to-person relationship!
