I am glad that you mentioned personal transportation. I know people and I have also been guilty of not planning out errands efficiently, causing me to go back and forth across town, wasting my car's energy as well as my own. Living in a city has allowed me to take advantage of the great public transportation available. Walking and buses have become my favorite form of transportation. Busing is almost easier than driving because there is no need to worry about finding a parking spot or paying for parking.
