This teacher-turned-congressman gave a lesson on checking the facts

Californian representative Mark Takano was a high school teacher before he was elected to congress -- but he still knows how to use a red pen.

With the polite sincerity often absent from political debate these days, he underlines the exaggerated claims made by some of his fellow members of congress in relation to the immigration reform bill which has recently passed in the Senate. He makes various corrections, and kindly offers "if you don't understand the bill -- come by my office".
