Touch is actually a really important part of human development. For example, parents are encouraged to hold infants when they read to them. That's how kids learn boundaries- and how they understand their own bodies! Not letting kids fall or experience tag/potential "violent" play is almost like saying- you know what- let's prevent you from getting to the point where you might make a mistake.
