This Kickstarter For a Coding Book For Kids Smashed its Fundraising Goal in Four Days

Linda Liukas is on a mission to combine software with storytelling. So she launched a Kickstarter to raise $10K for a "children's book called Hello Ruby" which will teach kids aged 4-7 programming basics. Four days in 4,400 backers have donated over $188k. The project will tell the story of Ruby "a small girl with a huge imagination," Liukas tells The Guardian and will combine "an illustrated storybook with Ruby's tale, and an activity book that teaches early programming."
