The World's First Energy-Positive Car

In just six months, students from the Netherlands have built a super-lightweight, super-aerodynamic car that seats four people and can run on nothing but solar power. In fact, it can actually produce extra solar power, so after it's driven long enough to outweigh the impacts of manufacturing, it can be energy-positive. The prototype will be raced in this year's World Solar Challenge in Australia, a 1875-mile trip across the outback.
