The solution to 'Fear of Failure' is something we must all own: teachers, parents, children, staff and their employers/managers must feel accountable for creating an environment where creativity can have room to grow into value- this 'room' needs to accomodate failure as a requisite step on the road to value.

Companies (particularly non-startups) are categorically terrified of failure, which typically translates into an inability to innovate. How do you think they can alter their culture and allow innovation and experimentation to drive?

Is something like Google's 20% time enough, or do you think something more extreme (and way cooler) like Valve's no management, all self-motivated individuals approach makes sense?
