    This is a cool idea, but I wish you could drill down. My best friend is Maltese and while he and his family speak it at home, I don't imagine there is much of a social media presence. It would be neat if there could be ambient listening devices to really determine the most spoken languages in different areas.

      Listening devices might be too costly and might require much labor to operate. E-surveys might be a more cost-efficient way I guess? But I do very much agree with your point. I speak different languages at home too but never ever send out a single tweet in other languages.
