Photographer and RIACTOR Collaborator Nicol Ragland spent time traveling with and documenting one of the last remaining tribes of nomadic hunter gatherers in the world, the Hadzabe. Their way of life is now in danger of being eradicated by the forces of globalization. Using images of animal taxidermy as a metaphor for the death of indigenous cultures she created the series 'Between two Worlds.' Her stunning and provocative photos provided the jumping off point for our recent performance.
