The Female Supreme Court Justices Now Have Their Own Portrait

The Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery unveiled a new painting of the first four female Supreme Court Justices Sandra Day O’Connor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. “The scale of this painting speaks to the grand accomplishments made by these four women and the example they set for future generations,” museum director Kim Sajet said.
