The Fast Food Diet's Societal Impact

Last week, a Seattle-based woman promoted her decision to eat only items made or offered at Starbucks for an entire year. Then, a schoolteacher out of Iowa jumped on the bandwagon to tout his McDonald's strict-diet for 90 days with the intent to prove "you can eat anything as long as you stick to 2,000 calories." Meanwhile, books and acclaimed physicians glorify "The Fast Food Diet" for weight loss. But, what are the hidden costs to society and America's health?
