The End of Malaria? Two Students From Burkina Faso Invent Mosquito Repelling Soap

Malaria, which is carried by mosquitoes, is the leading cause of death in Sub-Saharan Africa. But all that could change thanks to two genius science students from Burkina Faso, Gérard Niyondiko and Moctar Dembélé. They've created a mosquito-repelling soap, Faso Soap, which is made from karate citronella, and locally sourced natural herbs. The duo's invention won the grand prize in this year's Global Social Venture Competition, and, in order to save lives, they plan to share the formula with NGOS.
