Echo Park began as a small offshoot of early-20th century Downtown LA that consisted mainly of Cambodian and Central American immigrants, but has since continuously been transformed by socioeconomic forces, not least among them: Immigration. Here's an insightful look at one of the many immigrant/exile populations that contributed to the neighborhood's rich, wonderfully diverse cultural heritage.
