Tesla's West Coast Charging Stations Now Open

On Wednesday, Tesla Motors notched another improbable feat with the opening of its "West Coast Supercharger Corridor." Connecting Vancouver with San Diego, the corridor is dotted with stations up and down Highway 101 and Interstate 5, allowing Model S drivers to travel some 1,750 miles for free. The stations, which Tesla says are within 200 miles of 99 percent of Californians and 87 percent of Oregon and Washington car owners, can supply a 200-mile charge in 30 minutes.
