Sweden's Bold Syria Policy: Grant Asylum to All Refugees

On September 3, the Swedish government announced they would grant immediate asylum to any and all Syrian refugees who apply. Additionally, their spouses and children would also be granted permanent residency. The move comes as a reaction to the lasting violence in Syria. Sweden has taken in about 15,000 Syrian refugees since 2012, more than any other EU member state. Lets hope that seeing this progressive policy inspires other countries to follow suit.
