Sustainable Charging for Electric Buses

Swiss robotics firm ABB has developed a new high-capacity flash-charging system for electric buses, removing the need for overhead power lines. The new charging system takes just 15 seconds to charge a 135-passenger bus with enough energy to carry it to the next stop.

“This project will pave the way for switching to more flexible, cost-effective public transport infrastructure, while reducing pollution and noise.”
