Over 10 million people cycle through this nation’s jails annually; more than half return to jail upon release. For many inmates, they're time in jail is spent watching daytime television. How can we use existing technology to help? Jail Education Solutions -- a social innovation + impact startup -- is working to reduce recidivism by creating TV programming to proffer education opportunities such as GED courses, college courses, substance abuse counseling information, career counseling, etc.
