    SNAP is definitely not perfect, but I'm not sure what logic is being used when they cut funding in order to "reduce abuse". (I know that's not the ONLY reason, but really, guys?) And then they go and give a ginormous increase in funding to crop insurers and subsidies to row crop growers. Ugh. /end rant

    Any proven effective models that need funding other than SNAP? I love the work that MAZON is doing to end hunger- but I feel like to really get involved, we need a better system. Not sure what that would look like- I'm thinking of using food waste to feed the hungry - or ramping up soup kitchens with programs like Mealtics, which uses chefs/restaurants to donate meals to shelters.
