I think this is actually a conversation not just about how media interacts with young girls, but how that media creates an image of young girls which just encourages bad behavior in men- or makes the world not as safe for young girls. You might be interested in The Girl Effect Campaign. Although the portion of the campaign is focused on poverty, it's really about empowering girls to speak up for themselves, have a voice, and fight against things that they find wrong in the world.
