    This whole thing is absurd - who pressed the shutter is irrelevant. The monkey didn't do the setup, lens selection, set the depth of field, post-processing, cropping, color correction or distribution of the image.

    The photographer owns the copyright to the image. I can't imagine any court in the world would side with Wikimedia - they are really making themselves look bad with this ridiculous argument. Which is a shame, since normally I really respect the organisation.
