Saudi man installs "charity fridge" outside his house, invites neighbors to donate leftover food.

An anonymous man placed a refrigerator outside his house in Hail, Saudi Arabia "to spare the needy the shame of asking for food." Neighbors deposit food they can't use, while hungry community members are invited to collect anything they want from the fridge at their leisure.

The move came to national and international attention after a religious scholar, Shaikh Mohammad Al Araifi, paid tribute on his Twitter account to “the Saudi man from Hail who was engaged in an indirect act of charity."
